Triage

Triage is the inbox button left of the bell in the top row; it turns red with a count while items wait. Items arrive by themselves — from the Proposer, from akb triage add, and as follow-ups a build or a plan notices along the way. An item is a lead, not a task: it is never scheduled or counted until you make a card of it. To ask for work yourself, use New task.

Hover a row for four actions:

• Make card: plans a card from the item. If a card already covers it, the item is linked to that card instead.
• Start now: writes the card and builds it straight away, with no refining.
• Discuss: opens a discussion about the item; it waits until the discussion writes a card.
• Ignore: takes the item out. The toast has Undo, and Record why for a reason that teaches the board what to send you less of.

Tick rows to ignore several at once. Click a row for the whole item and a link to its source.

Two tabs: Waiting, and History — what became a card or was ignored lately. Click an ignored item there to Restore it, or to record why you ignored it.

Triage is open to every account. Automatic sorting needs a Pro plan; without it you sort by hand.

Sort it

Auto-sort on the page, or akb triage run, judges every waiting item against your product description and what you turned down before. Each one becomes a card, is ignored with a reason, or is held for you when the call is yours. New cards refine themselves; a sort never starts a build or changes a card you already have.

To steer it, record why when you ignore an item, and keep project.md and the planning memory current.

Let it sort by itself

On a Pro plan, new items are sorted as they arrive, so the ones worth doing are already cards when you look. Each such card costs one refine run.

Write an item from a script

akb triage add --title "What it is" --text "Its own words." --source "where it came from"

--file <path> takes the body from a file. --source names where it came from — reddit, x, xiaohongshu, weibo, zhihu, youtube or anything else. An item already waiting or already made into a card is refused. akb triage check <source-id> says where one already is.
